Adobe Flex Video Training - Day 1

I've been a bit under the weather so I wasn't able to go through all the videos, but I viewed the day 1 and here are my thoughts:

The videos are what you'd expect from a training series, the first 5 videos are about the environment and the IDE, Flex Builder, there very good if you're a newcomer to Adobe technologies like Flash and Flex and never worked with an IDE before, so if you're not you can safely disregard them, but if you have the time, then they're pretty cool.

The last 5 videos are a bit more interesting, they go from simple (amazingly simple) binding between controls to retrieval of external data, passing through the notion of events, event listeners and how to handle then in MXML and ActionScript.

An interesting aspect of this videos is that even when they're talking about simple things they give tidbits of advanced information and you do get the feeling that the framework is very mature and powerful.

Here's the link to the videos again

I'll try to view the rest this week.
